"It's always fun when new and undescribed leaves appear, but especially fun when it evokes so many nostalgic feelings...The soundscape varies from acoustic guitars to thrash-based riffs and wonderful angry vocals."

Review of the debut album "Full Speed or Nothing": Score 5/6

"We are back in the early nineties and in the genre that makes people travel from all over the world to take pictures in a brick cellar in Oslo…an old new Norwegian band is out with their debut album, and this was sure as hell good for me.”

“Riffing is an art that lifts most songs by several notches. If it is done right. Tales of Dhvaras gets a lot right on Full Speed or Nothing. This is an album that takes me back to the early 90s, but also right into Darkthrone as of today. Dark and heavy as hell!”

“The total experience becomes a varied expression that satisfies the hunger for aggressive black metal and the desire to just rock hard. With the album, Full Speed or Nothing, Tales of Dhvaras offers a metal party!”

Tales of Dhvaras is a Norwegian metal band resurrected from the early nineties and releasing new music. They aim to connect the past and present with their music and run their own label, Full Speed or Nothing (FSN) Productions, to make it happen.
Dhvaras, played and rehearsed at Stovner Rockefabrikk in Groruddalen what they referred to as “Skogsrock” (Forest rock), from 1991 to 1995 - inspired by the beauty and dark rawness in the forests of Østmarka and Nordmarka.
Influenced by classical music and Norwegian folk melodies, the songs were typically created on acoustic guitars before riffed into a loud and melodic soundscape.
The band finally resurrected itself as Tales of Dhvaras in 2019, and received great critics for their debut album "Full Speed or Nothing" released in June 2023.
The band plans to release the upcoming concept album, Nór, in 2024.
